7:30PM THURSDAY 12 MAY 2022
The Willoughby Environmental Protection Association (WEPA Inc) has once again joined forces with the Nature Conservation Council of NSW to co-host an online candidates’ forum on all things environmental for those voting in the North Sydney Electorate.
While the recent series of candidates’ forums has been excellent in taking us through a range of broad issues, we have been disappointed not to hear more about the action candidates will take on climate, species protection and possible Federal funding for the damaging Beaches Link Tunnel proposal.
Come along with your questions and make sure the candidates know how important these issues are to the North Sydney community.
Where: Online via Zoom
When: 7:30pm – 9:00pm Thursday 12 May
MC: Chris Gambian, CEO, NCC
RSVP: https://www.nature.org.au/north_sydney_federal_candidates_forum
Candidates who have agreed to attend (in alphabetical order):
- Heather Armstrong (The Greens)
- William Bourke (Sustainable Australia Party – Stop Overdevelopment/Corruption)
- Victor Kline (TNL)
- Catherine Renshaw (ALP)
- Kylea Tink (Independent)
We changed the initial date to try to accommodate the sitting member, Trent Zimmerman (Lib), but he has indicated that he was not available for either night. We have not heard back from the other candidates to date.
We need your RSVP!
