National Tree Day – WEPA Stall – this SUNDAY!

National Tree Day – WEPA Stall – this SUNDAY!
From 10am – 2pm, Sunday, 31 July, Willoughby City Council are staging a National Tree Day event in Mowbray Park (Sports Athletic Field), down the western end of Mowbray Road.

WEPA will have its own stall at the site where we will sell local wildlife greeting cards ($4 per card and $14 for four) and hopefully join up new members.  We have important petitions to sign plus free Climate Action posters and bin stickers, free WEPA postcards and lots of wildlife information for residents.

National Tree Day provides an opportunity for you to connect with nature and add to our tree canopy by picking and planting some free trees in your garden or nature verge. Join this family friendly activity, meet your local community and participate in a revegetation activity that benefits your local environment.  Activities include:

Planting Activity   10am-12pm

Plant Giveaway     10am-2pm

Mulch Giveaway   10am-2pm

Guided Bushwalk 11am-12pm*

Looking forward to seeing you there.
