About the film

The film tells the story of systemic change for our environment through looking back at campaigns such as a ban on leaded petrol, protecting our rainforests, the fight for the container deposit scheme, and more.

The film also celebrates the remarkable achievements of environmental campaigners, some of whom have been fighting for the environment since the 1970s. As we look to the past, we hope the lessons from previous campaigns will serve as valuable guidance for younger generations to continue this important work.

This inspiring series, produced by TEC, answers important questions:

  • How did the Australian environmental movement begin?
  • How have campaigns influenced society, economics, science, technology, law, media, and politics in Australia?
  • What does the future hold for us, and is there hope?

Hear from renowned campaigners, political figures, scientists, journalists, and legal experts including interviews with Tim Flannery, Bob Carr, Zali Steggall, and many more!

Invite your friends and spread the word!”
